I am a wife and a mother of two wonderful children. I first decided to start making soap when the doctor told us my oldest had severe eczema.  We tried everything on the market, and it didn’t work. Products that were promised for sensitive and eczema prone skin. He was on steroids so strong we could only use them 3 days in a row. We did bleach baths, wet pajamas and spent so many hours in different doctors’ offices trying to figure out just what was wrong. I started going onto mommy sites trying to find something to help. His diet was limited to things we knew weren’t triggers, but no reprieve. People would pull their kids away from him in the store thinking he had some disease. It broke my heart, and I knew I had to do something. I couldn’t keep putting harsh steroids and creams that burned his skin. I thought, well if it isn’t what is going in him, it must be what is going on him. I started making my own soaps, and come to find out, he was allergic to the “sensitive” soaps we were using on him.
